This summer in the UK has been AMAZING! I mean, maybe not that amazing if you are in England, you have no water and it is dry AF. The Scottish summer, however, has been so hot, with some rain here and there (for the garden!), and we have had plenty of grilling and fire pit extravaganzas!
Adam and I have been working here and there on the garden for a couple years and we finally expanded and finished off the herb garden. It is located at the back of the house and wraps around from our back door around the patio area. We have about 10-12 different herb plants and they have been ON FIRE this season. So I decided to finish off the garden this year with a super simple garden DIY. Although Adam and I know what all the herbs are, we wanted some labels so everyone in the garden knows what they are for picking.
Supplies:
-
Gold Permanent Marker (get them here)
- Slate Garden Labels (get them here)
Instructions:
-
Make a list of all the herbs or flowers you are labeling. I tend to spell things wrong when I am doing projects like this. Make sure to write down the herbs/plant list so you can copy them over
-
Using the gold marker, write out the names of each plant. I used my own handwriting. You can also copy from example fonts using https://www.dafont.com/
-
I then drew a gold little picture of each plant to make them a bit different
- Insert the labels into the ground in and around each plant
